How ShamiTab documents shamisen notation
ShamiTab explains the notation it supports without claiming that every school, genre, publisher, or teacher uses identical conventions.
Purpose and audience
The public guides help players, students, teachers, arrangers, and curious readers understand the notation workflows available in ShamiTab. They are educational references, not a replacement for instruction from a qualified teacher.
Supported conventions
ShamiTab supports direct three-string position entry, Western Rhythm, Traditional Style, tunings, lyrics, techniques, dynamics, fingering, repeats, navigation marks, comments, and score structure. The app documents its own labels clearly while acknowledging other names and glyphs may be used elsewhere.
Original examples and rights
Screenshots demonstrate ShamiTab itself. Published exercises are original resources. Copyrighted songs, unverified public-domain claims, and user uploads are not included in the public resource library.
Authorship, review, and corrections
ShamiTab is created by Alt View Studio Japan. Pages identify ShamiTab as the author and do not claim unverified credentials. Japanese drafts and culturally specific explanations require review by a fluent, shamisen-aware reviewer before publication. Corrections can be proposed through the project’s published contact channels.
